Rayaan Saqib Wins CCC 2nd Chess Tournament

The Carlsen Chess Club 2nd Tournament was held in Karachi, on June 7th , 2026 . The tournament featured 5 intensive Rounds and brought together the Young Chess talents within the city. .

Rayaan Saqib , the Young U-10 Chess Champion secured the first spot in the event with an impressive score of 4.5 Points . He remained undefeated during the event . He began the tournament with the victory in round 1 and 2  against Amaar Ali and Armaan Mirza before his only and hard fought draw in Round 3 against Shahzain Ali. The first spot winner then defeated Zaafir Rizwan and fellow participant Mahrez Fayyaz in the remaining 2 rounds . His consistent performance in the event earned him the first spot in the final standings . This result adds up to his recent tournament success in another Five Round Competition in which he won a Silver Medal after his only loss against Mahrez Fayyaz in 5th Round of Competition . 

Mahrez finished with 4 Points delivering an amazing performance. He won his first four games against Raed, Mustufa, Danyal, and Shahzain and entered in the final Round with a perfect score. He was defeated by Rayaan Saqib in the final round which decided the overall standing of tournament contenders .

The tournament provided a competitive platform for young chess players to test their skills and gain valuable experience. The performances of Rayaan and Mahrez stood out as highlights of an exciting day of chess in Karachi.
