Young Talent at the KORCC 2026

Karachi Rapid Chess Championship happened on October 25th, 2026 at Russian Cultural Centre, Friendship House PECHS Karachi. The event featured U-14 Category, five rounds in the swiss system format with a time control of 15 minutes per participant. The tournament was officiated by NA Muhammad Shaheer alongside Muhammad Wasif Nisar.

Among all the participants were Five - year old Rami Ahmed, who was also the youngest participant in the event demonstrated his courage by challenging himself in a challenging competitive chess environment.

Rami scored 2 points in 5 rounds. Young performer secured a victory against Zunair Ahmed in Round 3 and was lucky enough to receive a Bye-point in round. During his campaign he faced 3 losses against Isa, Ari Zain and Muhammad Abdullah in round 1, 2 and 4 respectively.

7-year old Ari Zain Pasha also gained competitive experience competing in the same category and faced five opponents and finished with 1 points during the event. He faced four losses against Abdullah, Mikael, Hanzala, and Jayesh in Rounds 1, 3, 4, and 5, respectively.

The championship provides both young players with valuable experience and challenges themselves against older participants. Events like these highlight the importance of introducing kids to tournament play from early ages helping them build confidence, strategic thinking, and decision-making skills.
